Toronto police officer recovering in hospital after being shot near Yonge and Eglinton
A Toronto police officer is recovering in hospital after being shot in the abdomen while stopping a vehicle near Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue on Wednesday, police say. “He’s doing well and the injuries are not life-threatening,” Toronto police Chief Myron Demkiw told reporters outside Sunnybrook Hospital.
