Lincks, a resident of Van Buren since the late 1970s, was caught attempting to abduct an 11-year-old girl 8 miles away from the Wofford Baseball Field where Morgan was taken from. Lincks's abduction attempt was just two months after Morgan's disappearance.

Investigators have narrowed their search in the nearly 30-year-old Morgan Nick kidnapping case to a single suspect with a criminal history who died in prison 24 years ago.

Alma police said Tuesday that Lincks, who died in 2000, is now the main suspect in the kidnapping of the child.
